My Disclaimer:

Before I go on to tell you my experiences with seeing something strange in the sky, I want you to understand that I merely stating in all truths what I’ve seen. I am not making any claim that any of these instances was infact a object that was from another world nor operated by extraterrestrials. What I consider to be a UFO is what doesn’t seem normal, and could very well contain a logical explaination to it, I just don’t know what it could be! I am just like everybody else who is reluctant to share such information because of the fear about what others might think of you. Please note that I honestly can’t remember exact details as if it was to have happened yesterday nor my exact age to be honest. But here goes:

I’ll try to come back over this page with my own maps of locations of the sightings and some illustrations to aid in the descriptions.

First Encounter Of A UFO Sighting:

I want to say I was somewhere between 8-10 years old living in a very rurual part of central Texas in Bosque County. It was late at evening during one of the summer months, the closest store was located in “Lakeside Village” just north of Lake Witney Texas. I had rode with my moms cousin to this store and during the ride home it was now completely dark outside, we lived on what I considered a small mountian, but the locals called it “a hill.” Looking out the window on the ride home I noticed deep in the sky, it really looked to me as high as the stars. But imagine 3 sets of white lights on a triangle shaped object with another each light at the points of each angle, with another object closely behind it just off to the side a little bit. The lights being so high in the sky looked just the same as the rest of the stars, except these was obviously moving, from what I can remember in a west to east direction. Both objects seem to maintain the same speed and distance and saying that I guess it could been 6 objects (1 per light) but I really believe it to have been 2 very large triangle shaped UFOs. The lights was white, never blinked, dimmed or changed in any way other than moving very slowly across the sky. I watched these lights for I’d guess atleast 30 mintues, and because of the depth in the sky and or the speed it was moving, I could of watched atleast another hour before it was no longer visible. What is strange, at that age I was confident I was witnessing a actual UFO, yet I really don’t remember feeling excited or surprised, as I would be if I could see it again today. I have 2 other times I’m going to further describe about unidentified flying objects, but out of all 3 if any was infact a UFO from outspace this encounter would of been it. I guess its just my gut feeling about this one, and I’ll openly admit there is a big part of me that wants to give each encounter a logical explaination.

Strange Shooting Stars?

This will be real short, because although it was extremely odd, and if that is all it was I must of witnessed a 1 in a billion chance of seeing this. I am spending the night at my best friends, house I am about 12 or 13 years old still in Junior High, we would often sleep & camp out in the backyard on his trampoline. Many nights we’d watch the shooting stars, but this night we both seen this one star that was looking at “not moving” take off in one direction “west” and suddenly went in a total different direction “more northward.” I honestly don’t really ever think of this to have been a UFO but its more of a strange thing I’ve seen the stars do. I seen this not very far north of my first encounter from I’d say within 30 miles, to be exact this happened just 7 miles south Clebrune Texas.

The Close Encounter: (Everything in italics is a update to the page, as I’ve found my report to NUFORC and am sharing that info with you)

Occurred : 9/1/2000 21:30 (Entered as : 09/01/00 21:30)

Location: Joshua, TX
Shape: Triangle
Duration:15 minutes

Even though I am really unsure what it was I seen, it is by far to me the scariest encounter because the object flew so close over my house located off highway 917 west of Joshua about halfway from from Godly, Texas when I was 15 or 16 years old. At this time, I had already became very interested in UFOs and Aliens and had my own Alien related website which might be why this astound me so much. I honestly can’t remember why or how I came about looking out our back door and noticed 2 big white lights moving from the south to the north flying extremely low and at very low speed. I would honestly say I could walk as fast as this thing was moving and it seemed to be just flying high enough to miss the powerlines. I brought the attention to my mom and little sister that seen it too, they didn’t think much of it, however I’m not sure if they would know a UFO it was to have landed in the backyard and watched aliens depart from it. So I’m hanging out the backdoor, we had just moved into this new house and didn’t have a back porch made yet watching it move in a NNE direction, the bright white lights appeared to be like a spot light of some sort but didn’t seem to extend very far from whatever it was comming from, I’d guess they was about 15-20 feet apart. They also was angled down at about 30-45 degrees. When I first seen this comming it was not far so very soon it flying directly overhead and I begin to hear the noise it was making. For the longest time I really didn’t know how to describe the sound of until I heard plently of power generators during the aftermath of Hurricane Rita, thats almost exactly what it sounded like, yes a generator! But imagine if the sound seemed liked it was getting closer and further all the same time, make sense? Kind like what it would be if it was spinning, I guess? If it was not for this “very unconventional” sound I would probably think a bit different about what it actually was. When I think of a UFO, I don’t think of them making sound at all, or if they do it would be like something that isn’t very technologically advanced as I heard. Soon as it got directly over head I could now see a red light on the end of it. Now this judging by the position of the lights in the night sky seems to be a triangle shaped object. Keep in mind this red light was not flashing, it never dimmed, blinked or changed colors. The layout of the lights make the think this UFO’s shape was triangular with the point or tip of the triangle being the tail of craft rather than then the front of it, which doesn’t make sense to me. But then again, the strange part about this unidentified flying object is the fact it was obvisouly flying extremely low, and extremely slow at the same time. I know that a airplane can’t fly that slow without falling out of the sky, so it has to be a helicopter right? No, I think I know the distinct sound of a helicopter flying over head! At this time my mom and my sister have lost interest in the craft, I however run to the front door and stand on our front porch and watch it for another few minutes continue to slowly move in its NNE direction towards the Crowley & Burleson Texas area. Now like I said in the beginning during this time I was active in researching UFOs and was aware of NUFORC organization, I don’t actually remember making a report of this, but I don’t see why I wouldn’t have. Therefor, I’ll see what I can do about getting the information on it and if I did report it maybe that way I can give better details on the time this happened and if any other similar sightings was reported in that area around the same time.

The Actual Report To NUFORC:

Low Flying Triangular Object With Two Huge White Lights!!!

On 09/01/00 at 9:30 p.m. I seen this object in the distance. I appeared to be staying in the same place or moving very slowly. I watched it stay in the apparently same location for about five or more minutes. At this point thought it was two large and very close stars. I then went into the house and told my mother to come see it. We wasn’t looking at it very long and then it started to approach us. I could tell it was getting closer because the two large lights was spreading further apart and getting larger. The lights blinked off and on twice and what I thought was going to be a thrid time but instead the two lights just very went dim. Soon it was directly overhead and this is when I looked through my binoculars for a better look. My mom who was talking on the phone heard lots of static on the cordless phone. I could tell that it was triangular except the point of the triangle was the tail instead of what I believe should be the nose. The tail had a very small red light compared to the large front lights. These lights looked as tough they was pointed down at a forty five degree angle. It was flying very low and I could hear the engine. The engine sounded as though it had zero throttle. It did’t sound like the planes to day but those in old war movies. As soon as it crossed over my house I went to the front porch and watched it circle over high way about 3000 yards away. Then Sept. 9, 2000 I seen two transport helicopters then about five minutes later I seen a Apache or simiular helicopter going in the direction of where the object came from. Then I remembered seeing three helichopters come off the ground and fly over me about ten minutes before the strange object on the the night of Sept. 1, 2000. The are no airports near my area which is in the country. The lights was was bigger than the moon that night. And I believe the moon was almost full that night. I am certain that is was very large and flying very low. I also posted it on my website with drawings of what it looked like at: (LINK NO LONGER EXIST) and clicking on personal sightings

The Update:

As you can see, there was details I didn’t remember when I tried explaining it to you 8 years later for example the helicopters, my mom complaining about the static on the (cordless) phone line. About the helicopters though, at that time that wasn’t unusual to see military helicopters flying around. According to the report database there was only 1 UFO reported that same day just 30 minutes earlier but far away in Post, Texas which google maps tells me is in the Texas pan handle.

If you want to see all the Texas NUFORC Reports or investigate further you can get them here: Texas UFO Reports

Conclusion:

Like I’ve said, I am in no way claiming that any of my sightings was an actual UFO piloted by aliens from another time or world. As I’ve gotten older its actually become more harder for me to actually share my encounter, even its with people online. Saying that I imagine that there is probably more people who’ve seen something and never said anything than there is people who’ve said something and never actually seen anything, make sense? I’ll try to update this page later with some more maps and illustrations to what I’ve seen.
