Just wanted to say hello to the forum. I got interested in this site due to the fact it seems central Texas is muy caliente! Personally I have seen one craft when I was a toddler, I even remember the lights in the house dimming and the babysitter on the phone looking out the same glass door to backyard and commenting on it on the phone. As I get older I think it might have been a vivid dream, but my mother still remembers coming home and KNOWING I saw what I saw. Since then it's been book after book for research.
What I want to offer is my experience in the aviation industry. Growing up my mother was a commercial airline pilot in the DFW hub area. I lived in the glide-path and she taught me airplane types and how to calculate speeds from referencing a point on the ground. Now, I'm a helicopter mechanic and can still figure out whats what in the sky. I live in Austin and met a car-club friend who shares same interests. We have been going on these sky-watch parties in Austin and Stephenville to try and film evidence.
I was close to giving up last year and just giving into the fact that maybe it's just high tech military drones. Last October 6th around 1945, I saw a "satellite" moving from west to east. No biggie I thought, cool satellite...when it got almost dead above me it made a 90 degree turn to the north and kept going. No turning arc like a jet fighter, no strobes, no contrail.. I took that as a sign to wake up and start exploring.
Sorry about the long intro but feels good to get it off my chest and for you guys and gals to know where I'm coming from. Gotta take a stand sometime. Any feedback on what I can do to help would be appreciated.

Welcome to board toaster!
It's nice to have another user from Texas and being a sky-watcher makes it even better. The first thing that stuck out about your introduction is the part where you said "As I get older I think it might have been a vivid dream" because I too notice that more and more of my childhood memories seem to leave me wondering did that really take place or was it just a dream. For example, I have this memory of when I was about 5 years old and hearing something outside on the front porch and pulling back the curtain and seeing somebody in a freddy cougar mask. Lol, I don't remember anything before or after seeing this and has always left me wondering did that really happen or not.
I look forward to your input on my sightings especially the one I seen Joshua Texas when I was about 16 years old mainly cause there is this part of me that tells myself that it had to be some sort of conventional aircraft yet it moved so slow and was flying so low I can't imagine how it could of done so without crashing. Not to mention the sound was so very odd for any type of plane I've ever heard.
Anyways, thank you for joining the board and I'll be looking forward to your input and I believe you'll be good asset to the community.
Cheers,
Joey
