Greys are watching..

Okay because of my job I have to occasionally live and be at two places at once.  No biggie, gotta go to Oklahoma for a while.  First one bedroom apartment was noisy and had a weird feeling something happened there but blew it off.  Contract had me back in Austin for a month and sent me back to Oklahoma again.  This time I have a nice two bedroom apartment, kinda quiet but nice for the money.  It's just me living here so I have a spare bedroom.  After two months being here with no problems my wife and doggy comes to town and visit about 3 weeks ago.  No big deal except the dog will not go into my bedroom but would hang out in the spare.  Nothing happens, quiet, normal.  I visit my home in Austin for the weekend and my wife tells me that there is something in the apartment and that when she was leaving the shower she saw the hint of a figure walking into my room to my bedroom closet.  She didn't want to upset me so she kept it to herself until then.

Great so now I have this uneasy feeling for the last couple of days and now starting to notice things like I used to keep spare bedroom open but now the door always wants to shut on its own.   Thinking I need to debunk I guess but it used to stay open with no issue.  Problem is I'm very scared of ghosts and if I do anything to communicate or acknowledge presence it will get worse right?  I figure just let it stay in guest room and things should be cool?  My wife says she occasionally sees a figure peeking in on us from the hallway while we watch tv.  Is she just super sensitive or do people get followed sometimes?  Do they go away?  Is it something I'm doing?

If you ever watch Ghosthunters they tell the people of the house that it's a benevolent spirit and it just wants to hang out.  I'm NOT that person that is cool with that stuff.  What can I do?

I'm not a ghost expert but I believe strongly in the spirits of the dead. Actually I'm not sure if its so much a spirit of the dead or something that has to do with time dimensions. Trying to keep an open mind about it.

If it was me I don't think I would personally acknowledge the spirit, ghost, spook whatever you want to call it's existence until you've researched it more. The reason being he/she might not want you in the home or doing certain things at certain times and if it knows you know it's there than he/she might get upset.

I've seem some people who say they have a ghost in there house who say it like its a walk in the park. For me its a pretty intense fear especially even once you acknowledge it every little thing you think might of been connected to its presence scares the crap out of you. And these events I'm talking about always seem to come in the most horrible times. For example I don't have a fear of snakes but if I'm out in the yard working and come across one that surprise me I'll be jumpy as hell for the rest of the day.

Hopefully somebody here can offer more advice than I can.

Well I made an announcement in the room that if ya wanna stay fine. Stay in the room if I don't see you even better...So far nothing has happened and it's quiet.  Now my wife thinks that it was just a shadow darting across the room from car headlights (she likes debunking as well).  Hope she's not saying that to cover up anything to calm me down.  But so far all is quiet and if something was there it just wanted to check things out and move on.
